[17p-K406-4] Preparation of artificial muscles using multiplexed conductive threads with high durability

At the last Fall Meeting, we reported on fabricating artificial muscles using Fujix's Smart-X, which has excellent durability. Since this type of conductive thread is a sewing product, obtaining a conductive thread of the desired thickness is not easy. It has been proposed to use independently fabricated conductive thread artificial muscles in parallel to achieve high output. On the other hand, the author has attempted to fabricate artificial muscles by multiplexing multiple conductive threads into a single coil to simplify the process. Here, we report on the results of a prototype artificial muscle made by multiplexing Smart-X.
