We investigated a novel synthesis method for MoS2 by coating substrates with phosphomolybdic acid as the Mo precursor, followed by high-temperature sulfurization using CS2. In samples prepared with non-dehydrated CS2, although FE-SEM revealed triangular domains on portions of the surface, Raman spectroscopy identified numerous peaks originating from Mo-O compounds. In contrast, for samples treated with CS2 dehydrated using CaCl2, AFM confirmed the presence of typical triangular MoS2 domains, and Raman spectroscopy showed predominant peaks characteristic of MoS2 across the majority of the analyzed area.
