ZnSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots (QDs) are attracting attention as materials for ultraviolet to blue LEDs. In this study, we investigated the shell thickness dependence of the optical bandgap of ZnSe/ZnS core/shell QDs using the valence field (VFF) model and the tight-binding (TB) method.
