In the 2024 academic year, the "Global Problem Solving Project" was initiated as part of the Smart Dormitory Program in the Faculty of Engineering at Niigata University. The project involved exclusively first-year students, who independently identified research topics and engaged in collaborative research. This paper presents the results of their research activities, highlights the students’ learning experiences, and discusses future prospects.
