課外活動に取り組むことで社会人基礎力にどのような変化が現れるのか，統計的な調査を行いたいと考えた．本稿では，サレジオ高専機械電子工学科の第3学年から第5学年に在籍する学生の社会人基礎力と課外活動の関係を明らかにする．
