Rubik’s Cube is sometimes used in university-level mathematics lectures as an introduction to group theory. This paper reports on a high school outreach lecture using Rubik’s Cube to introduce group theory, and analyzes its effectiveness based on a 2024 session of the “KIT Mathematics and Science Course” at Kanazawa Institute of Technology.
