We report on the development and implementation of semiconductor Lab work materials that use LEDs as photodiodes. Combining red, green, and blue LEDs, students can experience and learn not only the relationship between band gap and light wavelength, but also the wavelength dependence of the absorption in semiconductor, the device structure and function.
