[3D08【招待講演】]Water in the Electric Double Layer: From Average Structure to Ultrafast Fluctuations
*Satoshi Nihonyanagi1 (1. Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba (Japan))
Water in the electric double layer is studied using heterodyne-detected vibrational sum-frequency generation spectroscopy. The results show that Stern-layer water has interface-specific structures, whereas diffuse-layer water often exhibits bulk-like average structures but interface-dependent ultrafast dynamics. Both structure and dynamics are therefore essential for understanding interfacial water.
