Thu. Mar 27, 2025 4:15 AM - 5:45 AM UTC
Room 4 (Fukuoka International Congress CenterR: 201 [2F])
Organizer: Kenji Hamase (Grad. Sch. Pharm. Sci., Kyushu Univ.), Yasushi Ishihama (Grad. Sch. Pharm. Sci., Kyoto Univ.)
Physical pharmacy is a basic science of wide research areas including medical and pharmaceutical sciences. It is a developing scientific field being fused with other fields such as chemistry, environmental science and clinical pharmacy in recent years. The Society of Physical Pharmaceutical Sciences has established the "Society of Physical Pharmaceutical Sciences Encouragement Award" in order to motivate young researchers, and has presented the award at the symposium of the annual meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan to the researchers who have conducted ambitious research in the division and show promise for the future. This symposium aims to contribute to the further development of physical pharmacy research area through the lectures and discussions given by the two winners of the FY2023 Encouragement Award of Physical Pharmacy and a young researcher who is conducting cutting-edge research in the field of physical pharmacy and also developing interdisciplinary research. The lectures are entitled as "Development of cancer-specific therapeutic agents: Perspectives from BNCT and photoimmunotherapy", "Development of new DDS using extracellular vesicles and ionic liquid and their therapeutic applications for intractable diseases" and "Innovative purification technology of biopharmaceuticals using functional polymers".
