In recent years, international competition in drug discovery has diversified from small molecules to proteins, nucleic acids, and cells, with Japan currently lagging behind Europe and the United States. Under such circumstances, there is an urgent need for Japan to make a comeback through the development of Japan's first next-generation modality pharmaceutical products that breaks free from the norms of the past. On the other hand, Japanese drug discovery and drug development technologies based on drug formulation and DDS are highly advanced, and these technologies are important keys for the creation of next-generation modalities. In this symposium, lectures will be given by four world-leading researchers in the field of Shin-modality research, who have "Shin-ized" (evolved and deepened) the existing modalities of antibodies, RNA, and cells from a new perspective based on pharmaceutical formulation and DDS. We hope to deepen our understanding of the latest pharmacological drug discovery research that has entered the new normal era through in-depth discussion and explanation of each researcher's unique theory of modality "Shin-ized" with actual data from the basic science of pharmaceutics.
