Pharmaceutical sciences have contributed to medicine and health through collaboration among industry, academia, and government based on chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, and environment. The Basis for Supporting Innovative Drug Discovery and Life Science Research (BINDS2) has been launched in FY2022. Based on the Shared Facility, this project aims to expand the life science research support infrastructure in response to the diversification of drug modalities and the sophistication of various technologies, by establishing an infrastructure to promote basic research that contributes not only to drug discovery research but also to the development of life science in general, and by promoting the DX. To further accelerate and expand the scale of drug discovery and drug development, it is essential to strengthen collaboration within and without BINDS and human resource development, which will support the future of medicine and health. In this symposium, we will introduce the status of research support and advancement of each center in BINDS2, and deepen discussions on human resource development and collaborative systems, aiming to contribute to Drug Discovery and Development, and Drug Fostering and Evolution.
