Sat. Mar 29, 2025 11:30 PM - 1:00 AM UTC
Room 18 (MARINE MESSE FUKUOKA Hall B: Conference Room2-2 [2F])
Organizer: Takashi Nakamura (Fac. Pharm. Sci., Kanazawa Univ.), Takashi Kojima (Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited)
In the evolving pharmaceutical landscape characterized by a growing diversity of modalities, the utility of nanoscale carrier-based drug delivery systems (nano-DDS), exemplified by liposomes and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), has become increasingly apparent. However, the development of nano-DDS technologies capable of delivering drugs to organs and cells other than the liver remains insufficient. To address this challenge, the field has been actively pursuing the advancement of nano-DDS through the integration of multiple DDS technologies and the introduction of novel nano-DDS platforms. Nevertheless, the increasing complexity associated with nano-DDS advancements can pose challenges in terms of manufacturability and cost, hindering their practical application.
Focus Group for DDS Formulation Clinical Application in APSTJ is dedicated to improving the development environment for DDS formulations. In this symposium, as a joint initiative with APSTJ, we invite academic and industry experts who are at the forefront of advancing nano-DDS through technological integration to present their latest research. Moreover, we aim to foster discussions on the challenges and potential solutions for translating these advanced nano-DDS technologies into practical applications.
