I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for joining the World Forum for Women in Science – Japan.

This forum is held in Japan with the aim of creating a space where researchers—regardless of gender—can thrive and collaborate across disciplines and borders, sharing their knowledge and experiences to co-create a more just and inclusive future for science.

Today, our world faces complex crises and rapid change. In such times, science is called upon to serve as a vital source that connects people, societies, and nature.

We hope that this forum will make visible the voices and practices of researchers, and become a platform that fosters empathy, collaboration, and mutual understanding.

I sincerely hope that your participation and dialogue here will cultivate new forms of solidarity and seeds of hope for the future.
