Several storage spots in the saline aquifer of Taihsi Basin offshore from western Taiwan were chosen and assumed to be the storage sites for CO2 storage of the CO2 from coal-fired power plant in Taiwan. Before a CCTS (Carbon capture, transportation and storage) supply chain is developed, an analysis should be conducted to determine the feasibility of creating a carbon sink in these areas with a discussion of the life cycle using different kinds of transportation. The hotspot of environmental impacts will be recognized in the analysis. In the future, the goal is to conduct a network optimization considering the limitations discovered in the analysis.
