Pakistan is an urbanized country with a population of more than 245 million in 2024, making it the world's 5th most populous country. However, the country lacks a structured system for managing and analyzing material flows. This study focuses on analyzing material flows in Pakistan using input-output tables (IOT), exploring the feasibility of applying input-output analysis (IOA) for comprehensive material tracking. While plastics may be considered as one part of a broader case study, the primary aim is to identify sectoral flows and address challenges in data integration. These preliminary findings aim to support future research and policy development for sustainable resource management
