現在進行中の地球温暖化を含む環境変化の中，今後の変化についての理解を深化させるためには，第四紀やアンソロポシーン(人新世) の変化について，データやモデルに基づく精度の高い研究を進める必要がある．セッションでは，東アジアに大きな影響を及ぼす水循環や環境変化についての発表を取りあつかい，国内外の第一線の研究を行なっている研究者により，サステナビリティについて議論を行う．
