Electric field sensors are integral to advancing early warning systems and understanding atmospheric phenomena, particularly in lightning detection. This study delves into the performance analysis of MoS2-based electric field sensors across varying layer thicknesses. A comprehensive exploration of the electrical characteristics and sensitivity of these devices is conducted under diverse electric field conditions. Our findings underscore the relationship between layer thickness and sensitivity, with a particular focus on elucidating the factors that govern the performance of MoS2 sensors.
