Utilizing surface-enhanced infrared absorption (SEIRA) techniques for biomolecular identification poses challenges, particularly in aqueous solutions where water's strong infrared absorption interferes with the process. In this investigation, we employed a distinctive metasurface structure (depicted in Figure 1a) featuring two dots of distinct sizes tailored to enhance the C-H and amide bonds, respectively. To address the hindrance posed by water's intrinsic absorption characteristics in the IR range, leveraging a single-layered gold structural array and the CaF2 substrate as an infrared window, the metasurface facilitates real-time monitoring of biomolecular binding events, enabling the calculation of dynamic parameters and affinity between biomolecules.
