We have developed the flux distribution tallies using the proper orthogonal decomposition as an efficient approach to calculate a flux distribution with the Monte Carlo method. In the present study, we performed a verification calculation for the C5G2 benchmark problem with two types of fuel assemblies to investigate the applicability of the proposed method to a two-dimensional problem.
