JAEA Fukushima Research and Engineering Institute organized an analysis network for analytical human resource development through verification of analytical techniques, as well as research for new analytical techniques, as part of the training of human resources required for the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. This network utilizes the analysis labs of JAEA and Tohoku University in Ibaraki. New analytical methods for decommission have been studied at the hot facility of Tohoku University. In addition, students from the partner universities attended workshop to understand issues and needs related to analysis for decommission. Lectures and practical training on understanding analytical equipment and method have also been held to deepen students' understanding of decommissioning analysis.
