We are investigating pretreatment methods for metal impurity content analysis of MOX samples by ICP-AES. Among the pretreatment procedures, evaporation, drying, and re-dissolving treatment caused significant differences in six of the 17 elements, but by changing this to microwave dissolution treatment, good measurement results were obtained for all six elements.
