Call for Papers
Paper submissions are accepted here [Deadline: August 31, 19:00]
(Submissions will be open after registration) https://jees.confit.atlas.jp/en
The 17th Japan Earthquake Engineering Symposium invites papers on earthquake engineering and disaster prevention. We widely welcome ongoing research, various surveys, experiments, case reports, and more. Awards targeting young researchers are also being considered, so students are highly encouraged to apply. To facilitate smooth program planning, abstract submission is required in advance. Papers are invited for both General Sessions and Organized Sessions, and we look forward to receiving your submissions.
Although papers will not undergo peer review for this symposium, papers presented here can be expanded and submitted as peer-reviewed papers for the 17JEES Special Issue of the Journal of Japan Association for Earthquake Engineering (submission fees apply separately).
However, peer-reviewed papers submitted to the 17JEES Special Issue must have titles different from those presented at this symposium. Details will be announced at a later date.
Presentations will be either oral or poster. You can indicate your preference at the time of paper submission, but please note that we may not be able to accommodate all requests due to programming constraints. Furthermore, while peer review is not conducted for this symposium, papers may be rejected if deemed inappropriate as academic papers based on the following criteria:
a) Insufficient explanation, making logical understanding extremely difficult
b) Content biased toward commercial, political, or religious promotion
c) Content containing slander or libel against others
d) Violation of the application or writing guidelines
The copyright policy for the 17th Japan Earthquake Engineering Symposium is as follows:
(1) Authors retain copyright of the works published in the symposium proceedings.
(2) Authors are deemed to grant the Organizing Committee of the Japan Earthquake Engineering Symposium permission to edit, publish, and disclose the proceedings for the event.
(3) When submitting works published in this symposium to the Special Issue of the Journal of Japan Association for Earthquake Engineering, copyright handling shall follow the regulations of the Journal of Japan Association for Earthquake Engineering.
