This research is an attempt to re-integrate science and art, which, despite sharing common origins, have
become deeply divided in contemporary contexts. With the theme of earth science, a new method
combining experiential visual brainstorming and comment mapping is employed to foster the fusion of
scientific rigor and artistic expression.
In this presentation, we will showcase examples of works by earth science experts and artists, and each
session participant will write their opinions and impressions on sticky notes from their own perspective.
We will also implement comment mapping using sticky notes at the JpGU venue. These sticky notes will
be arranged on a poster and visually organized as comment mapping, revealing the relationships between
opinions and the aggregation process. Through this method, we hope to create a space for dialogue
where scientific analysis and artistic expression intersect, transcending conventional frameworks.
