Human Geoscience is a field that explores the relationship between the global and regional environment and human activities. In the Dream Roadmap, it sets as its goal not only advances in science and technology but also the realization of a sustainable Japan, Asia, and world. Prior to the revision of the Roadmap, the Human Geoscience Section held a section-leading session titled “New perspectives of Human Geosciences” at the 2025 JpGU Conference. This session deepened integration within the Human Geoscience Section, which comprises diverse specialized fields, explored collaboration with other sections, and discussed the future development of Human Geoscience. Based on the presentations and discussions from that session, a task force centered on the presenters was established to revise the Dream Roadmap. This task force is incorporating new concepts, including the Anthropocene, and advancing discussions toward revision. Furthermore, as one pathway to realize the Roadmap, the Human Geoscience Section took the lead in proposing “Co-designing a region resilient to global environmental change” as part of the Future Academic Advancement Initiative. This presentation will report on the progress of the revision of the Dream Roadmap within the Human Geoscience Section to enhance discussion with other sections.
