The microchannel structure and discharge condition was explored to attain two-phase layered flow of atmospheric-pressure plasma and aqueous solution on a microfluidic chip. Two-phase layered flow of a He plasma and a pure water was realized in a circular microchannel of φ1 mm and 10 mm length by a pulsed discharge. Furthermore, the plasma-liquid interfacial reactor to synthesize monodisperse nanoparticles by plasma reduction is tried to develop, since a two-phase microflow has an advantage of a large interface ratio between these microflows.
