To achieve further breakthroughs in CIGSe solar cells, the realization of bifacial operation and tandem configurations is highly anticipated. However, the growth of CIGSe layers typically requires a substrate temperature of approximately 600°C. This high-temperature process poses challenges such as damage to the underlying layers and the formation of secondary phases, which hinder the development of bifacial and tandem solar cells. In response, this study explores the fabrication of high-quality CIGSe layers at low temperatures by incorporating Ag. Notably, a conversion efficiency of 15.3% was achieved at a low deposition temperature of 350°C.
