We found that carbon nanowalls can be synthesized through Ar plasma irradiation of activated carbon. Carbon nanowalls exhibit a characteristic structure in which few-layered graphene sheets grow perpendicularly to the substrate. Due to this unique morphology, various applications have been proposed. In this study, we successfully demonstrated Cs ion adsorption to CNWs using an electrochemical method.
