We carried out synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction experiments with BNT-BT lead-free ferroelectric bulk ceramics and their ground powders to investigate the crystal structure change associated with the ferroelectric phase transition temperature. The bulk sample showed discontinuous structural change. On the other hand, the powder sample showed a continuous structural change, and a tetragonal component was observed in addition to the cubic component at high temperature. This appears increase of the phase transition temperature. We discuss this difference in relation to other studies of ferroelectric materials with increase of phase transition temperatures.
