Application for Poster Briefing

*Only students and junior researchers are eligible to apply.

Poster Briefing (Short Flash Talk) session will be held on Day 1 (17:00 – 18:30).
Poster Briefing is mandatory for those wishing to enter the poster competition, since it serves as one of the selection criteria for the Poster Award.
If you wish to apply for Poster Briefing, please check the box in the abstract submission system.

You will be requested to give a 3-minute oral presentation based on the content of your poster at the dedicated booth set up within the poster venue.
・Presentation should be given in English
・No Q & A time (3-minutes oral presentation only)
・Video files are not accepted.

Data submission
Presentation data will be accepted from May 29 to June 5.
Upload the data file to: jsdb2024@jsdb.jp

・Format: PDF (A4 landscape) Other formats such as PowerPoint and Keynote will not be accepted.
・First slide should indicate the author name(s), affiliation(s), presentation title and poster number.
・Research slides should be 3 or less (total of 4 slides including the title slide)
・File name must be ‘Poster Number (Presenter’s name)’ ex) FT01-01 (Taro Nihon)
・File size should not exceed 5 MB
・Do not lock the file with a password

*The presentation data submitted will be used solely for Poster Briefing on the day of the presentation. The data will be deleted after the session concludes.

Please be aware that your presentation will be canceled if we do not receive the presentation data by the deadline.

Presentation
Presentation data will be pre-installed on a computer provided at the conference. You may not use your own computer for your presentation. Please submit your presentation data by the deadline. Poster Briefing presenters are requested to come to the venue (Poster & Exhibition) before the start of the presentation.

Poster Award
Outstanding presentations at the Poster Briefing and Poster Session will be awarded.
Those who wish to be considered should present at the Poster Briefing and Poster Session.
Presentation will be evaluated comprehensively by three judges for each session based on the following criteria:

Project criteria:
・Effective delivery of main question and aim(s) of the project
・Clarity of the data and interpretation
・Potential for future development
Presentation criteria:
・Key points and messages are conveyed in a clear and concise manner to the audience
・Enthusiasm and passion
・Staying within the allotted time for the presentation

Winners of the Excellent Poster Presentation Award will receive special souvenirs in addition to a honorary certificate. The Award Ceremony will be held at the Reception on Day 3.

Poster Briefing 募集

※学生とポスドクなどの若手研究者のみ、応募が可能です。

Day1 (17:00～18:30）に、Poster briefing（ショートトーク）を行う演題を募集します。ポスター賞選考資料となるため、ポスター賞にエントリーを希望する場合は必須となります。
Poster Briefing を希望する場合には、演題投稿時に該当の項目をチェックしてください。

Poster Briefing について
ポスターの内容を元にポスター会場内に設けられた特設ブースで、3 分間の口頭発表を行っていただきます。
・発表は英語で行う
・口頭発表での質疑応答はなし
・動画は不可

プレゼンテーションデータ
発表データは5 月29 日（水）～6 月5 日（水）までに事前提出をお願いいたします。

◦ PDF ファイル（A4 横向き）
PowerPoint や Keynote などのPDF 以外のフォーマットは受付けません。
◦ 最初のスライドは、名前、所属、プレゼンテーションのタイトル、件名番号を表示
◦ 研究内容のスライドは3 枚以内（タイトルスライドを含めて４枚以内）
◦ PDF ファイル名は「件名番号（発表者名）」となります。例：FT01-01(日本太郎)
◦ ファイルサイズは 5 MB 未満とします。
◦ ファイルをパスワードでロックしないでください。
※Poster Briefing 用にお預かりした発表データは、発表当日のみ使用いたします。
WEB にアップロードしたり、他の媒体に掲載したりすることはありません。 データはセッション終了後に削除されます。
**締切日までに発表データを受信できない場合、キャンセルとなりますので、ご注意ください。

発表方法
事前に提出していただいた発表データは、大会が用意するパソコンにプリインストールされます。 プレゼンテーションに自分のコンピュータを使用することはできません。 締切日までに発表データをご提出ください。 Poster Briefing 発表者はプレゼンテーション開始前に会場（Poster ＆ Exhibition）へお越しください。

ポスター賞
ポスター賞候補者：Poster Briefing およびPoster Session で発表し、審査を希望する方を対象に、優れた演題を選出し、優秀賞を授与します。

【評価基準】
以下の項目を基準に、各セッション3 名の審査員により総合的に評価されます。
プロジェクト内容の評価
・課題点と目的を効果的に明示できているか
・実験結果を明確に説明できているか
・今後の発展性
プレゼンテーションの評価
・プレゼンテーションの論理がわかりやすい言葉で明確に説明されているか
・演者の熱意とパッションが伝わるか
・規定の時間内で発表できたか

優秀賞受賞演題はDay 3 の懇親会にて発表します。表彰式を行い、表彰状と記念品を授与します。
