The female-only recommendation entrance examination that has been conducted at Nagoya Institute of Technology in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (after reorganization, the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) since 1994 entrance examination is reported. This presentation reports on the history and implementation of the introduction of the female-only recommendation entrance examination, and its effects, including the trends in the number of female students admitted over the past 31 years in the Department that has introduced the female-only recommendation entrance examination.
