This paper introduces the course “Course Seminar II”offered to the second-year mechanical engineering students. In this course, the students design new camping products, create a prototype, and give presentations on their work. The course is conducted with guidance from industry partners, and this paper reports on the effectiveness of an approach that emphasizes student's autonomy.
