Effective research communication is essential for graduate students in international and interdisciplinary settings. This paper reports on a March 2026 English storytelling workshop at Science Tokyo. Using an adapted Hero’s Journey framework, students practiced explaining their research in everyday terms to peers. Post-workshop feedback by students suggested improved audience awareness, organization of complex ideas, and confidence in research communication.
