A two-day generative AI workshop, framed as a "Tool for Augmenting Thinking" via experience-first design, was implemented for 20 high-school students aspiring to engineering. Pre/Post questionnaires showed an increase in AI self-efficacy and a selective attitude shift: while general anxieties decreased, awareness of bias and discrimination uniquely increased. This exploratory study suggests the design fosters critical engagement with generative AI at the high-school level.
