At Niigata Institute of Technology, a two-week internship is generally incorporated as a required course during the summer break of the third year. To assess the benefits of participating in these activities, we will compare students’ performance on the PROG test—particularly in the competency section—administered in the second semester of the third year, using groupings that include students from other activities.
