This study reports a cross-curricular teaching practice connecting differential equations to chemical reaction rate equations, involving 168 second-year KOSEN students across four departments. Analysis of a term examination and a post-intervention questionnaire provided quantitative evidence of barriers to the connection between mathematics and chemistry, while also revealing the presence of students who spontaneously verbalized the physical meaning of the phenomena.
