General qualifications
・Each Regular Member ( Regular Online Members, including Life Members and Long-term Members), Student Members ( Online Members including Student Members), Honorary Members, and Overseas Members ( Overseas Student Members including Overseas Student Members) of the Society is allowed to present one paper. In addition, no more than two persons nominated by a representative of a Sustaining Member (per unit) and one person nominated by a representative of a Group Member may also present one paper per person.
・If you are a non-member and intend to apply for a general presentation, please complete the admission procedure. Please note that you cannot apply only by applying for membership.

・The registration for presentation can be made after the advance registration by Confit.
Publication of Abstracts
The printed proceedings will not be distributed. The printed program will be handed out at the registration desk.
The abstracts will be available on Friday, July 24.

About the Program
The program for general presentations is left to the conference secretariat.
However, if you have a preference for the order of presentations in a series of research, we will try to accommodate your request.
Please indicate this in the remarks section of the application form.
Presentation time
Each presentation will be 12 minutes long with 2 minutes for discussion. One
minute is allotted for presenters to take turns.
Presentation format
・For general presentations, please use your own PC and make your presentation by yourself.
Some lecture rooms have two screen monitors on both sides of the room. Please use the “Laser Pointer” tool for PowerPoint presenters or use a laser pointer that can be displayed on multiple monitors so that the pointer cursor can be displayed on both monitors.
・The projector at the venue can be connected to your own computer using either HDMI or VGA (15-pin type). Some laptop computers may require a connector, so please do not forget to bring it with you.
・Please remember to bring your own laptop.

Important Notes Regarding Presentations at the Annual Conference
The Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Food Science and Technology aims to publicly disseminate research findings and information in the field of food science and technology and to promote their widespread adoption.
1. Presentations 1) Presenters must be regular members (including regular online members, lifetime members, and long-standing members), student members (including student online members), honorary members, or overseas members of the Society, with a limit of one presentation per person. Additionally, up to two individuals designated by the representative of a sustaining member (one per membership share) and one individual designated by the representative of a corporate member may also present one paper each. 2) As a general rule, changes to presenters are not permitted. 3) Presentations may not be canceled except for unavoidable reasons. Furthermore, prior approval must be obtained from the conference secretariat for any cancellations. 4) The content of the presentation on the day of the conference must match the content included in the abstract. 5)The copyright of presentation materials belongs to the presenter. If such materials give rise to issues involving the infringement of third-party rights or interests, the presenter shall bear full responsibility. 6) When creating presentation materials such as oral presentation slides or poster data, take great care not to infringe upon the rights or interests of third parties. For example, even if the source is cited, you may not use photographs or videos taken by others without permission, nor may you reproduce figures, tables, maps, etc., from books verbatim. To use such materials, you must confirm with the author and publisher of the source material and obtain the necessary permission. Book covers and illustrations must be used in accordance with the conditions specified by the publisher after consulting with them.
2. Preparation of Abstracts 1) Abstracts and presentation languages are limited to English or Japanese. 2) Copyright belongs to the Japan Society for Food Science and Technology. 3) Presenters must declare any conflicts of interest. Such declarations must be included at the end of the abstract. Example: Conflict of Interest There are no conflicts of interest to declare. 4) Research involving human subjects must be conducted in accordance with the spirit of the Declaration of Helsinki (adopted in 1964, amended in 2013) approved by the World Medical Association. This includes food-related clinical trials, evaluation tests utilizing human senses, and questionnaire surveys, and must comply with the provisions of the “Ethical Guidelines for Life Science and Medical Research Involving Human Subjects” (Notification by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, 2021; enacted April 16, 2021; latest revised edition). In addition, research involving animals must be conducted in compliance with the “Standards for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and the Alleviation of Their Suffering (Ministry of the Environment Notification No. 88, April 28, 2006).” |
