[2E01]Introduction to the SR surface science session "God is in the details: investigation of specific local sites realizing material functionalities using SR"
*Jun Yoshinobu1 (1. The University of Tokyo)
In this session entitled "God is in the details: investigation on Specific Local Sites Governing Material Functions Using Synchrotron Radiation", we will discuss advanced synchrotron radiation-based surface science research, including the clarification of the structure and electronic states of dopants in semiconductors by identifying specific elements and the electronic states and surface reactions of dilute alloys (single-atom alloys) as catalysts using the characteristics of soft X-rays, , and the investigation of electronic states of very small single crystal surfaces and edge surfaces of layered single crystal materials using focused light from synchrotron radiation. The program consists of four invited lectures and contributed presentations.
