Recent advances in experimental techniques have led to rapid progress in elucidating physical phenomena in low-dimensional systems. We have conducted extensive research on atomic-layer materials using various experimental techniques, including spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS), in-situ electrical conductivity measurements, and total-reflection high-energy positron diffraction (TRHEPD). Notably, we have succeeded in establishing a comprehensive understanding of both the structural and electronic states by combining our research on "structural analysis using electron/positron beams” and "electronic state analysis using synchrotron radiation”. In this presentation, we will introduce the results of these studies.
