[2H01]Quantum control of spin quantum bit by scanning tunneling microscopy

*Masahiro Haze1 (1. University of Tokyo)
For the bottom-up approach to constructing quantum bits using single atoms and/or molecules, scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) is a powerful tool not only for construction but also for observing their quantum states, by combination with electron spin resonance (ESR) technique. Moreover, ESR-STM provides the possibility to control these quantum states. In this talk, I will present the observation and controllability of the quantum state of a single atom.
