To investigate the modification of Rashba surface state, the insight of hydrogen adsorption on Ag(111)-Bi become necessary to acquire. We observed that the adsorption of hydrogen on Ag(111)-Bi around 90 K induces surface restructuring and modifies its electronic structure. Surface restructuring is indicated by attenuation of (√3 x √3) R30o. By using photoemission spectroscopy, the modification of valence band and surface state are also observed. Simulations based on density functional theory are also carried out to elucidate the mechanism of the geometric and electronic structure modifications.
