Structure analysis of light elements, such as hydrogen and lithium, is generally challenging. In this study, we employ nuclear reaction analysis (NRA) using the nuclear reaction 7Li(p,p’γ)7Li to detect Li atoms in materials. A channeling NRA experiment, combining NRA with ion channeling techniques, was conducted on a LiNbO3(0001) single crystal as a model system. Decreases in γ-ray yield were successfully observed under specific angular conditions, reflecting the lattice location of Li. These results demonstrate the applicability of channeling NRA for structure analysis of Li in crystalline materials.
