We developed a new mechanism that allows rotation and uniaxial movement in a vacuum and installed it on the sample transfer vessel. This new mechanism uses two types of O-rings. The pressure in the chamber where the sample transfer vessel using the new mechanism is installed is maintained below 10-5 Pa even when the sample holder is moved up and down and rotated in a vacuum. The pressure inside the transfer vessel can be maintained at approximately 10-3 Pa for approximately one week. The transfer vessel equipped with the new mechanism can now store multiple holders.
