[3C10]Depth dependence of infrared absorption enhancement on periodic nanostructures

This presentation focuses on the surface-enhanced infrared absorption (SEIRA). A previous study has shown that SEIRA occurs not only in metallic nanostructures but also in non-metallic nanostructures, and that its enhancement effect can be explained to a certain extent by the square column (SC) model. However, in this study, when we investigated the enhancement effect of infrared absorption by varying the depth of line-and-space-type nanostructures, we obtained results that could not be explained by the SC model, showing that the enhancement factor increased as the depth increased. This unexpected result suggests the need for a more detailed model, and in this presentation, I would like to discuss these results and a future modeling.
