Co-substituted BiFeO3 (BiFe0.9Co0.1O3) is a multiferroic material of practical interest because of the coexistence of ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with non-zero saturation magnetization due to canted collinear spin structure. We have investigated magnetization reversal accompanied by ferroelectric polarization switching induced by an electric field in BiFe0.9Co0.1O3 epitaxial thin films at room temperature. We have also attempted to fabricate a nanofabrication of BiFe0.9Co0.1O3 with a single ferroelectric and ferromagnetic domains.
