The study introduces the fabrication and SEIRA evaluation of platinum (Pt) nano-slit structures, which remain underexplored in contrast to widely studied gold-based systems. By employing electron beam lithography and argon plasma etching, we successfully fabricated well-defined Pt nano-slits on CaF2(100) substrate. Infrared reflection spectra revealed polarization-dependent plasmonic behavior and a linear relationship between dip wavelength and slit length. Upon coating with PMMA, a Fano-like resonance at 1723 cm-1 was observed, indicating SEIRA enhancement due to coupling between localized surface plasmons and molecular vibrations. This work offers a promising approach for expanding SEIRA applications to catalytically active materials.
