Engineering antibody to endow migrating activity into cytosol

In living systems, precise spatiotemporal organization of biomolecules ensures proper molecular interactions and sustains vital functions. Disruption of these transport mechanisms leads to aberrant distributions, impairing cellular and organismal homeostasis. Similarly, the dynamics of exogenously administered bioactive compounds affect both efficacy and side effects. Technologies that enable flexible control of molecular transport <i>in vivo</i> thus open new avenues for disease modulation, health maintenance, and functional enhancement. We define such technologies as Molecular Transport Systems (MTS). Advancing MTS promises transformative progress in understanding, controlling, and augmenting biological systems, impacting both fundamental and applied pharmaceutical sciences.<br />   This symposium brings together emerging researchers at the forefront of technologies that may form the foundation for MTS. They will share recent findings and future perspectives, with particular focus on molecular transport across different hierarchical levels—systemic circulation, tissues, cells, and organelles—precision Dry/Wet molecular design for targeting specific cells or biomolecules, and novel drug discovery strategies leveraging transport control. Through these discussions, the symposium fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration and co-creative research in MTS.
