The 146th Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan (Osaka)

The Diversity Symposium is a Board-organized symposium held as part of the Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. Marking its 10th edition, this year’s symposium will be held under the theme “Realizing our dreams: the journeys of our predecessors and the frameworks that support diversity.” In this symposium, we are honored to welcome Prof. Kohei Tamao and Prof. Hideko Nagasawa, who will share their personal journeys in realizing their own “dreams” while balancing research and family life. From the perspective of gender equality, they will discuss the systems and initiatives that were effective or that they felt were necessary along the way. In addition, Prof. Masato Mochizuki and Ms. Asuka Miyabashira will introduce initiatives and future perspectives for supporting the active participation of diverse human resources in universities and pharmaceutical companies. We hope that this symposium will provide an opportunity for participants to learn from the experiences of pioneers and to reflect on their own career development and the environments that support it. We warmly welcome not only those who are already active on the front lines of society, but also undergraduate and graduate students who are preparing to embark on their future careers.
