概要
In November of last year, the Japanese Cabinet established the “Inter-Ministerial Council on the Acceptance of Foreign Nationals and its Policy,” and in January 2026, it announced a “Comprehensive Action Plan.” It can be said that many aspects of this plan are closely related to international students studying in Japan, as well as to foreign residents in the country. Ms. Seiko Sasaki, a director of the Japan Immigration Association, will provide an explanation of the matters specifically relevant to international students.
