Notes on the Anuual Meeting

The following are notes and changes for this meeting. (Updated 18 November 2024)

 

Point 1: Face-to-face oral and poster presentations: Oral and poster presentations will be conducted face-to-face only. Please note that there will be no e-Poster session.

 

Point 2: The participation certificate will be available for download (the website is here) : We will not be sending out participation certificates. Please download and print out your certificate from the “Abstract and Registration Site” and bring it with you.

 

Point 3: Due to the renewal of the Confit system, the Confit accounts created at the previous Kyoto conference cannot be used. It is now necessary to create a new account from ‘New Account Registration’. If you have already created a new Confit account for ISWST2025, there is no need to create a new account.

 

Point 4: Mailing of the research presentation program booklet (printed version): The research presentation program booklet (printed version) will be sent in advance to those who have pre-registered (those living in Japan). Please make sure to enter your mailing address correctly on the registration page. Please note that the meeting organizing committee cannot be held responsible for undelivered or delayed mail due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

For those living overseas and for regular and same-day participants, the research presentation program booklet (printed) will be distributed at the venue reception desk. The research presentation program booklet (electronic version) will be published on the conference website on March 3, 2024, along with the electronic version of the abstract booklet. Point 5: For those attending ISWST2025: Please be sure to check this page for important information regarding participation fees and the banquet.

 

Point 6: About the reception and the Wood Science Mixer (WSM): Please use the Confit system to apply for the reception and the WSM when you apply to attend the conference. Please note that from this conference, you will be able to make additional payments for the reception and the WSM after settling the participation fee.

Point 7:  Childcare support:

A nursery will be set up in the venue, and the JWRS will subsidise the usage fee. Further details will be announced in December. The nursery will only be able to provide services in Japanese.

Point 8: New special measures for conference participation fees for members of related academic societies: At this conference, individual members of related academic societies who are not members of the Wood Research Society can now register (auditor) for the conference at the Wood Research Society member price. At this conference, the four organizations covered are the Japan Wood Processing Technology Association, the Japan Wood Protection Association, the Lignin Society, and the Cellulose Society.
