Organic Solar Cells (OSCs) based on the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) device structure have many potential advantages such as flexible, inexpensive, and easy to fabricate. However, OSCs also exhibit intrinsic disadvantages such as weak light absorption, low mobility and charge recombination, which caused low power conversion efficiency (PCE). The metal nanoparticles have been widely used in high-efficiency organic solar cells (OSCs) to enhance the performance of OSCs. In this study, we present a method of improving the performance of non-fullerene organic solar cells. Two shapes metal nanoparticles such as gold nanoparticles (AuNps) and gold nanorods (AuNrs) were introduced into the hole transport layer of OSCs to excite the localized surface resonance (LSPR). The reference structure of organic solar cells consists of an indium-tin-oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrate/PEDOT : PSS/PM6 : Y6/ aluminium (Al) doped ZnO /Ag.
